328i E93 N51 fuel pump troubleshooting. Car: 2010 328i convertible, N51 engine. Background: Car stopped at the red light abruptly with no warnings and it hasn't started in two weeks. Cranking under the hood but the engine doesn't start. Objective of this thread: Rule out fuse pump as an issue. In this video I show you how to replace the voltage regulator on your BMW. This process is going to be very similar for a number of models. I'm working on 2003 BMW 530i. The low oil warning light would come on at idle when the engine was fully warm/hot. Add 100-200 rpm's it would go off. I did an oil pressure test and the idle pressure was 12 psi. I found a suggestion that a bad oil level sensor can cause a low oil pressure reading. It was a bad oil level sensor. R&R the oil level sensor and all Always check to see if you have a strong battery before doing anything else . The IBS system can turn things off when the battery is weak and cause symptoms that are not directly related to the real problem a weak battery or charging system problems. Car will go to sleep after 15-20 minutes but the water pump keeps running. My question is, shouldn't the control turning on the water pump go away once it

With a surface charge the battery can read around 13 volts when fully charged. but on the first start it will generally fall to 12.6 on a good battery . I posted this in the general section following up with a battery replacement. I got these current codes and figured it was a low battery causong an issue, considering my battery was at the end of its life. Replaced battery and registered and codes are still active with limp mode. No response from the accelerater pedal and idle is pretty shaky. One solution is to turn the car on and off 7 times, but not starting the engine, activating the LEFT turn signal on the 7th ON cycle. While the turn signal is ON, depress the brake pedal fully 16 times and press the RADIO ON button. Now, press the START button while depressing the BRAKE pedal to start the car. I drove out in the E39 with a freshly-charged battery in the trunk. I dropped the battery into Kugel, and with some coaxing, the car started up. One of the basic electrical checkups you can do in a car is to use a multimeter to measure the resting voltage—the voltage across the battery terminals with the car off. It should be about 12.6 volts. Replaced the Contact relay on the fuse box (top-right) 3. Checked voltage on battery, alternator, jumping points, engine block, starter and got 12 volts when car is off (14 volts when on) 4. Made sure that the engine block is getting voltage, the grounding straps are not perfect but the engine is still getting the 12V. It really depends on how long your new battery has been sitting on a shelf. IIRC there is a point in which a battery has sat for too long and won't hold a charge. You've already gone above and beyond with replacing the starter. If the jump works, drive the car for or let it idle for an hour or so. Drives: 2012 MB ML350 Bluetec. Join Date: Aug 2009. So I know my 2007 335 has an old battery and I've had to trickle charge it to keep if from going completely dead, but today when I started it, it had a slow crank like the battery was near dead but started right away. a5zQO.
