AFAIK the A3 got the same 2.0 engines as the Octavia so the oil pump hex shaft shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure you're using the proper motor oil (505.00), drive the engine a little spirited a few times a month, and have a good mechanic that knows the TDI better than yourself.
